Doha, Qatar: Kuwait Amir HH Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah ordered an official mourning period of four days in Kuwait following the passing of Qatar's Father Amir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
KUNA, the country's official news agency stated this adding that flags will be flown at half mast across Kuwait and at the country's diplomatic missions abroad, starting from July 12, 2026 for a period of four days.
In a statement on Sunday, Kuwait's Amiri Diwan said HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had ordered four days of official mourning and flags to be flown at half-mast during the mourning period. The Amiri Diwan prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy and forgiveness upon the late HH the Father Amir and reward him abundantly for his enduring contributions to his nation.
