Doha, Qatar: Qatar National Library (QNL) is hosting a Language Exchange Meetup today Wednesday, August 12, bringing together native speakers and language learners in a multicultural setting to practise languages through conversation.
The self-led meetup, which will take place from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, is open to participants of all ages and language proficiency levels. The initiative aims to provide an informal platform for people to improve their language skills, build confidence and learn from one another through direct conversation. QNL will host the meetup on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with the next session scheduled for August 26.
Participants can practise any language of their choice and interact with native speakers and fellow learners in a welcoming environment. No trainer will be provided, as the sessions are designed to be peer-led, allowing participants to share their knowledge and support each other in their language-learning journey.
QNL has encouraged participants to bring their own stationery and actively engage in the conversations.
The Language Exchange Meetup is part of QNL’s efforts to create opportunities for cultural exchange, learning and community engagement, bringing people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds together through a shared interest in languages.
