Doha, Qatar: Former Prime Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the Father Amir, describing him as “my Amir, my friend and companion throughout our journey.”
He said the late leader devoted his life, both publicly and privately, to the advancement of Qatar and the service of the Arab and Islamic nations, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of achievements that transformed the country into a modern and influential state.
He hailed the late Father Amir as the builder and founder of modern Qatar, whose accomplishments and vision would continue to inspire future generations. Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim also reaffirmed his confidence in the leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, describing him as “the best successor to the best predecessor.”
He praised the Amir’s wise leadership, dedication to safeguarding Qatar’s security, stability and prosperity, and his continued efforts to advance the nation’s development with responsibility and sincerity.
