Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Transport is taking part in the UK Rail 2026, which concludes today at the NEC, Birmingham.
In a statement by the Ministry, the MOT’s participation comes within the framework of its approach that aims at solidifying its successful partnerships and constructive dialogues, while keeping pace with latest world policies and trends in the transportation industry.
The two-day event, which brings together leaders from across the UK rail sector, rail projects and operators, rolling stock OEMs, suppliers, innovators, and technology solution providers, to tackle numerous important themes, including customer experience, digital innovation, AI, sustainability and decarbonization.
The Ministry noted that the engagements are also aimed at cementing cooperation with world countries and international bodies, holding bilateral meetings that serve national interests and exchange of expertise.
Other key themes include signaling systems, smarter rail control and monitoring, smarter rail infrastructures, funding, rail assets management, and relevant services.
