Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, received today, May 14, 2026, HE Anita Anand, Canada's Foreign Minister, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed regional developments, particularly those related to the ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the efforts aimed at de-escalation that contribute to enhancing security and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian Foreign Minister also signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of a strategic dialogue between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.
