Doha: Officials from Al-Rayyan Municipality carried out 1476 inspections on food establishments in various parts of the municipality in June.
Following the inspections, 45 violation reports, 35 reconciliation reports and 4 violation reports were referred to security authorities and 9 food establishments were closed for violation.
Veterinarians working at the central automated slaughterhouse supervised the examination of 3904 carcasses. 96 whole carcasses were destroyed, while 259 kilograms of meat were partially destroyed.
39 samples were sent to the central laboratory. Additionally, the Health Control Section received and processed 54 complaints related to the safety of food items.
