Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Qatar H E Dr. Adish Mammadov
Doha, Qatar: Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Qatar H E Dr. Adish Mammadov paid tribute to late Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, describing him as one of the greatest figures in Qatar’s history whose leadership laid the foundations for the country’s remarkable development and regional prominence.
In a condolence message, the ambassador said the Father Amir “has written his name in golden letters in the history of the State of Qatar,” noting that the reforms launched during his tenure as Head of State paved the way for Qatar’s transformation into an indispensable country in the region.
He said the Father Amir dedicated his life to the prosperity of Qatar and the well-being of its people.
Ambassador Mammadov also highlighted the Father Amir’s role in strengthening bilateral ties, stating that the cornerstone of the friendship and brotherly relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Qatar was established by the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, together with Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Expressing condolences on behalf of the Azerbaijani state and people, the ambassador said Qatar had lost one of its greatest sons “whose heart always beat for Qatar.”
He extended his deepest sympathies to Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, members of the Royal Family and the people of Qatar, praying that Almighty Allah grant His mercy to the deceased.
