Doha, Qatar: Qatar University (QU) signed a cooperation agreement with the Ajnee Institute for Training and Innovation, aimed at strengthening collaboration in providing free training courses for QU students.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammad Diab, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Dr. Ali Abdulrahman Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer of Ajnee Group, in the presence of several officials from both sides.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties in organising and implementing training programmes that contribute to enhancing the competencies and building the capacities of QU students, in addition to implementing joint programmes in the areas of professional development and skills development. It also includes organising specialised workshops aimed at refining students’ practical and cognitive skills and enhancing their ability to efficiently undertake volunteer and leadership roles.

Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Mohammad Diab, Vice President for Student Affairs, said: “Qatar University is committed to providing educational and training opportunities that enrich students’ experiences beyond the classroom and contribute to developing their skills and capabilities, thereby enhancing their preparedness for professional life. Our collaboration with the Ajnee Institute for Training and Innovation will enable students to benefit from practical training programs that support their professional development and help them apply their knowledge and skills more effectively.”

For his part, Dr. Ali Abdulrahman Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer of Ajnee Group, said: “We are proud of this partnership with Qatar University and view it as an investment in people and in the capabilities of the young people who will lead Qatar’s future. At Ajnee, we believe that professional development begins early by empowering students to understand their abilities, develop their skills, and connect their academic knowledge with practical application and the requirements of professional life.”

He added, “We look forward to this agreement marking the beginning of sustainable cooperation with Qatar University, through which we will develop high-quality initiatives and programmes in training, development, and innovation that contribute to preparing capable individuals who can make a positive impact within their institutions and communities.”
