Doha: Youssef Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al Maliki, Director-General of Qatar News Agency (QNA) said that the surrendering  of licence of Al Arabiya News Channel to Ofcom that is looking into the complaint against the way of coverage of the Channel the crime of hacking QNA, indicates that the channel has committed punishable crime.
The action of Al Arabiya for broadcasting fabricated and baseless statements attributing to the Emir after hacking of QNA on May 24, 2017, despite clarification by Qatari official authority that the these statements were fabricated, indicates bad intention of the channel because such coverage breaches all rules, ethics and morality of the media.
