Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the 54th regular session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, which was held yesterday via video conference.
The delegation of the State of Qatar to the meeting was headed by Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari.
During the meeting, they reviewed a number of important topics, the most prominent of which are the repercussions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the Arab region in the health field, and Arab-American cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, Arab-Chinese cooperation in the health field, and the Arab transport ministers’ council decision No. 488 pertinent to resumption and recovery of air travel.
The meeting also discussed the Arab strategic Action plan regarding the access to public health services for displaced and asylum-seekers in the Arab region; standardization of Arab health legislations; improving maternal, children and adolescents health; as well as Arab strategy for the elderly, health and environment.
