Ideal location, spacious rooms, delectable food, impeccable services and high ambitions are the few elements among many others used to raise Golden Tulip, Doha.
With a convenient location between National Museum of Qatar and Souq Waqif, Golden Tulip Doha with all its petals provides ideal offers for leisure and business holidays in Qatar.
At the eve of soft opening of the hotel, Ramzi Assily, General Manager of Golden Tulip Doha told The Peninsula that although Golden Tulip was a new product in Doha but the group - Louvre Hotels Group - behind the ‘new product’ enjoyed the experience of successfully operating six brands.
Louvre Hotels Group, owned by Jin Jiang International Co. Ltd., one of China’s leading travel and tourism conglomerates, is a major player in the global hotel industry which operates a complete portfolio of 6 brands ranging from 1 to 5 stars: Première Classe, Campanile, Kyriad, Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip.
“The Group operates around 60 hotels in this region,” said Assily, adding: “Though Golden Tulip Doha is our first venture in Qatar but we are set to establish 3-4 properties in Qatar in the span of next three to four years.”
With 193 rooms, Assily said, hotel had a lot to offer to its foreign and local guests including pool, gym, lounges, restaurants, laundry etc. “Our rooms are one of the largest in the town from 44 square meter and above. This hotel is an alcohol free facility, an attraction liked by the visitors from the Gulf as they usually express reluctance in staying in hotels serving alcohol.”
Another feature which the dynamic GM of Golden Tulip Doha counts will become a major attraction for the guests from within and outside country is hotel’s culinary excellence and toothsome food. “Our Executive Chef is from France. Soon we will also launch promotions for our food and beverages outlets and we are confident that the taste of our food will allure a large number of locals.”
When asked whether he was facing extra challenges due to current crisis and blockade imposed on Qatar by its neighbors, Assily expressed hope that the prevailing tensions in the region would soon disappear. “There are signals of improvement therefore we have to wait and see otherwise we would have to explore new markets like China, Russia, Turkey, East European countries to pull tourists.”
He said that Qatar would have to introduce new packages for tourists that could keep them ‘fully engaged’ during their stay in the country. “We have to keep a tourist occupied and busy. There are many attractions like MIA, desert safari, Souq Waqif etc. but we need new landmarks to attract more visitors.”
With a vast, over 30-year, experience in hospitality industry, Assily considers location, services, brand and offers as the main components of recipe of success in hospitality industry. “Nowadays, uninterrupted Wi-Fi has taken the first place,” he quipped.
