Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) launched the "Back to School 2026–2027" campaign, which brings together interactive activities and booths for students and families, along with training workshops aimed at preparing teachers, school leaders, and the educational community for the start of the new academic year.

Leading this year's campaign is the "First Step" initiative, launched by the Ministry for the first time in partnership with "Rafeeq." The initiative aims to enhance students' experience at the beginning of their educational journey, targeting approximately 10,700 newly enrolled first-grade students across all public schools.

The Ministry is organizing its Annual Educational Gathering on August 25, 2026, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The event will feature the participation of educational leaders, teachers, and partners as part of preparations to launch the school year, enhance communication, and exchange expertise on educational priorities and trends.

The gathering features over 15 training workshops, in addition to a panel discussion titled "Humanity First... Authenticity is Strength... and Digitalization is Empowerment." The session highlights several key issues concerning the future of education, primarily the importance of keeping the human at the heart of the educational process, promoting identity, values, and authenticity in the educational environment, and leveraging digital transformation and modern technology as tools to empower teachers and learners while advancing the educational experience.

As part of the campaign's community activities, the Ministry is renewing its partnership with Mowasalat "Karwa" through a dedicated booth at Place Vendôme from August 21 to 27, operating from 4pm to 10pm.

The booth will feature a series of interactive, entertainment, and educational activities designed for children and families, alongside shows and performances presented on the booth's stage—offering an experience that merges education with entertainment while strengthening direct engagement between the Ministry and the community.

Furthermore, the Ministry is participating as a strategic partner in the "Back to School" campaign launched by "Al Meera" across a number of its branches from August 15 to September 15, expanding the reach of the campaign to families and students during the school preparation season.

The Ministry will also have a presence in Msheireb from August 25 to 27, between 4pm and 9pm, offering educational, entertaining, and interactive activities for children and families aimed at enhancing direct connection with households and delivering an engaging experience to celebrate the back-to-school season.

Through the "Back to School 2026–2027" campaign, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education seeks to ensure a comprehensive start to the new academic year—fostering a shared responsibility toward education, establishing a culture of partnership, and creating a motivating and engaging beginning for the school year.
