DOHA: The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the missile attack that targeted the vicinity of Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which led to one death and a number of injuries and material damage. In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for restraint and stressed the need to avoid manifestations of escalation in Iraq, in a way that preserves security and stability in the region.
The statement reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. The Ministry expressed Qatar’s condolences to the victim’s family, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
