Doha: Cultural Village Foundation – Katara has presented Prism Virtual Exhibition by Iraqi artist Falah Al Saeedi.

The exhibition, which Katara is making available to its audience through 3D technology, includes more than 20 paintings of the selected works that the artist has completed over the past years, most of which were executed in oil colours on canvas in different sizes.

The Iraqi artist Falah Al Saeedi, through his artworks in the exhibition, tries to document the moments, shots and scenes that are not dated by history nor recorded by biographical books, in order to reformulate and reshape the world, in a realistic narrative language and an expressive abstract style, through which the Iraqi artist wanted to feel the integrity of our senses and the purity of our souls from the impurities and dust of days, and this is what makes art a cultural necessity not a luxury life.

The artist Al Saeedi pointed out that the artworks he is presenting in the exhibition are of aesthetic values and contents that make all the recipient’s senses celebrate them and realize their aesthetic effect remains.

He pointed out that there are two dimensions to his artistic experience, the first psychological and the source of this experience, and the second embodied in the existence that surrounds the humans where time and place are the most important elements influencing it and contributing to its formulation and formation.

On the other hand, Al Saeedi expressed his happiness at the opening of the exhibition Prism Virtual Exhibition on Katara’s electronic platforms.

He thanked Katara for the wonderful initiative that provides the opportunity for the largest number of those interested to see the works of artists during this exceptional circumstances by COVID-19 pandemic.

Al Saeedi said that the exhibition is providing opportunity for artists to enter the world of the Internet and take advantage of the opportunities it provides and contributes in increasing knowledge and following up on new technical ideas and experiences.

Al Saeedi is considered one of the most prominent Iraqi plastic artists, who was born in Babylon in 1976, and was able to reserve a special and innovative style for himself, printing his rich artistic experience that stores a deep culture and draws its references from a deep visual legacy closely related to Iraqi scenes.
