The Cultural Village Foundation — Katara has announced that the 11th edition of Katara Tech Forum will be held on Wednesday at 8pm through Katara’s digital platforms.
For this edition, the forum will focus on “IoT Cybersecurity for Healthcare Applications” to be presented by Prof. Mohsen Guizani, Katara has said on its official social media accounts.
Katara Tech Forum aims to spread public awareness on information technology on a large scale and make it available to all as a key factor in the development of creative and knowledge capabilities.
In addition, the forum promotes learning on the latest developments in the world of information and communication technology and reviewing and presenting best practices and international standards in Qatar and the world.
The initiative also aims at contributing to the implementation of the goals targeted by Qatar National Vision 2030 as well as enhancing cooperation with scientific institutions and organisations in Qatar and beyond, in addition to fostering ties with local government bodies working to meet national vision 2030 goals in the field of information technology.
The forum also eyes bridging the gap between techsavvy youth interested in information technology and the information technology-based institutions through hosting specialised conferences, symposiums, and lectures on latest information and digital technology issues and breakthroughs.
Previous editions of the forum have focused electronic services of various government entities in Qatar, pioneering projects in the field of information and communications technology (ICT), and latest updates and initiatives in the field of ICT at local and international levels, among others.
In June, the Cultural Village launched the Katara Summer Events 2020 which are conducted remotely in line with the state’s precautionary policy in preventing the spread OVID-19.
