Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the renewed attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, describing them as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries, and a clear breach of international law, the United Nations Charter and the principles of good-neighborliness.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the targeting of power generation and water desalination facilities in Kuwait crossed all red lines and constituted a grave violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which reaffirmed respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of those states and rejected attacks against civilians and vital infrastructure.

The ministry said the continuation of such attacks represents a dangerous escalation that would further complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

The ministry underscored the need for the immediate and complete cessation of all military operations and attacks that threaten regional security and stability, called for refraining from any actions that could widen the scope of escalation, and urged a serious return to dialogue and negotiations, while adhering to the understandings achieved through diplomatic efforts.
