Singapore: Gold rose for a third straight session on Tuesday as fears of a US interest rate hike next month eased, with investors awaiting minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest meeting for fresh clues on the monetary policy path.
Spot gold was up 0.4% at $4,431.09 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery edged 0.3% higher to $4,487.70.
Among other metals, spot silver rose 0.8% to $66.33 per ounce. Platinum inched 0.5% higher to $1,779.50, while palladium was almost stable at $1,332.50.
