Doha, Qatar: The Committee for the Development and Promotion of Quranic and Arabic Language Education at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has launched the “Riwaq Al-Diyaa” Summer Educational Camp, with the participation of 62 students aged between 14 and 18. The camp is being held at Ezdan Palace Hotel from August 9 to 27, 2026.

The camp is part of the Ministry’s efforts to nurture a generation committed to the Holy Quran, proud of its national identity and Islamic values, through an integrated educational programme.

The camp aims to prepare a generation of Quran memorisers who demonstrate the highest levels of proficiency in memorisation and revision. The programme seeks to positively influence participants’ behaviour, values and daily conduct, while instilling moral values derived from the Holy Quran, strengthening national identity and awareness of key issues affecting the wider Muslim community, and highlighting young people committed to the Quran and its values.

“Riwaq Al-Diyaa” offers an integrated Quranic programme centred on memorising and reviewing the Holy Quran at multiple levels. This is supported by close daily monitoring, regular tests and a motivating competitive environment, helping participants consolidate what they have memorised and improve their proficiency.

The camp goes beyond Quranic studies, offering a diverse educational programme that includes lectures, scholarly sessions and visits by a number of scholars and religious preachers. It also features an educational programme focused on strengthening faith and moral values, reinforcing a sense of belonging and identity, and developing positive role models.

Daily educational sessions are led by a group of scholars, religious teachers and specialists in education, alongside individual guidance and counselling sessions.

Participants also take part in a range of sports, cultural and recreational activities, including swimming, football and tennis, as well as trips and group physical and cultural activities. These programmes aim to strike a balance between Quranic learning and comprehensive personal development on one hand, and purposeful recreation and physical activity on the other.

“Riwaq Al-Diyaa” is designed as an integrated educational environment that promotes discipline and learning through a structured plan for memorisation, revision and daily monitoring, regular assessments, competitions and recognition programmes. These are overseen by a specialised team of Quran teachers and educators, helping foster positive companionship centred on the Holy Quran and its values.

The camp provides participants with full accommodation, including daily meals and accompanying activities and programmes. It will conclude on August 27 with a ceremony honouring participants and presenting them with certificates in recognition of their efforts and achievements during the camp
