Doha: Norka Roots Director and Chairman of ABN Corporation J K Menon said that the world has changed in a new way and the world after Covid-19 is not the same as it was before.
The Doha-based businessman was addressing the overseas employers conference organised by Norka Roots, government of Kerala, a press released issued by his office said.
He added that the world after COVID-19 is unlikely to return to the one that was. He also said that several jobs segments will disappear in the coming five to 10 years and the world will be coming across a new set of skills and job opportunities in the coming decade.
J K Menon also said the education system needs to update to accommodate this change and mold the new generation accordingly. Menon said the change was not in the way of the syllabus but in the way of teaching children from the bottom up and the focus of education should be on AI, cloud computing, Industrial designing, analytical thinking, problem-solving.
The conference was organized by Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (Norka), the Government of Kerala in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in a virtual platform.
Experts from across the world participated in the conference. The conference was aimed at creating awareness among job seekers about the latest and innovative career opportunities worldwide in the post-Covid-19 scenario.
