Doha, Qatar: Qatar will mark today its National Day with a grand National Parade at the Doha Corniche, alongside a wide range of celebrations taking place across the country, reflecting the nation’s unity, heritage and pride.

The parade will serve as the centrepiece of the festivities, bringing together citizens and residents in a patriotic display that embodies loyalty to the leadership and a deep sense of national belonging.

Nationwide cultural, heritage and family-oriented events will further highlight Qatar’s rich legacy, shared values and collective commitment to building a prosperous future.

The Organising Committee for Qatar National Day Celebrations has invited the public to attend the National Parade, which will take place today along the Doha Corniche, marking one of the most prominent highlights of the annual national occasion. The event is expected to draw wide public participation, reflecting the deep sense of unity, loyalty, and national pride shared by the people of Qatar.

According to the organisers, public access points to the Doha Corniche will open at 5am and close at 7.30am, while the National Parade is scheduled to begin promptly at 9am. The Parade will unfold in a patriotic display that embodies solidarity between the leadership and the people, showcasing Qatar’s enduring values of cohesion and allegiance to the nation. The National Day is regarded as a living testimony to the spirit of dedication and generosity towards a homeland that has given so much to its people and has achieved a distinguished position of development and prosperity among nations.

It is also an occasion that renews feelings of pride and reinforces the meaning of national unity, while commemorating the sacrifices of forefathers who laid the foundations of the modern state.

On this day, Qataris reaffirm their pledge of loyalty, hard work, and commitment to ensuring that the nation’s flag continues to fly high with dignity and glory.

Beyond the National Parade, Qatar National Day celebrations will extend across several major venues, including Doha Corniche, Darb Al Saai, Katara Cultural Village Foundation, Old Doha Port, Aspire Park, The Pearl and Gewan Islands, and Lusail Boulevard. Each location will host a diverse programme of cultural, heritage, and family-oriented activities designed to engage residents and visitors alike.

The Pearl and Gewan Islands will feature patriotic décor, cultural performances and roaming entertainment. Lusail Boulevard will mark the occasion celebrating Qatari identity through live shows and vibrant activations.

Darb Al Saai, in Umm Salal, remains a cornerstone of the National Day festivities. It offers immersive heritage experiences that present a vivid portrayal of Qatar’s past on land and sea.

Visitors can explore the traditional Qatari house and the old market, which together reflect key aspects of the country’s social history. Signature heritage features such as Al Maqtar and Al Azba stand out as central pillars of the event, recreating aspects of Bedouin life through closely built homes, poetry sessions, riddles, and storytelling that introduce younger generations to tribal dialects, desert routes, and landmarks.

Darb Al Saai also features specialised heritage houses, including the Falconry and Hunting House, the Sadu weaving and women’s crafts house, and the dairy production house. Meanwhile, Al Azba allows children to learn camel riding and traditional practices, offering a live model of ancestral life during seasonal migration and adherence to customs and traditions.

Together, these celebrations reaffirm that Qatar National Day is not merely an annual occasion, but a renewed covenant of unity, heritage, and loyalty, emphasising that every individual plays a vital role in shaping the nation’s bright future.
