Doha, Qatar: Al Hidaya School for Students with Special Needs (Primary, Preparatory and Secondary – Dafna Branch) organised the fourth annual “Ibda’a Bi Anamili” (I Create with My Fingertips) competition for the 2025–2026 academic year under the theme “Through the Eyes of Our Students, We See Qatar 2030.” The event was held on Tuesday at Al Hazm Mall.

Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, visited the exhibition accompanying the competition. She toured the showcased artworks and expressed her admiration for the high level of creativity and innovation demonstrated by the students. The Minister praised the educational efforts dedicated to nurturing artistic talents and empowering students with special needs to express their abilities and their vision for the nation’s future.

The competition aims to enable students with disabilities to express themselves artistically, highlight their talents, and promote the concept of inclusion among specialised schools. This year’s edition saw the participation of 84 male and female students from 59 schools, competing in two artistic categories: drawing and three-dimensional models.

The submitted works were evaluated by a specialised jury comprising artists and visual arts teachers. Winners were selected based on approved artistic and educational criteria, with the support of the competition’s official sponsoring entity.

This initiative reflects the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s commitment to supporting inclusive education and promoting initiatives that open new horizons of creativity for students with special needs. It also underscores the Ministry’s efforts to empower them to play an active role in the nation’s development journey.
