Doha, Qatar: More than 270 exhibitors from 33 countries will gather in Doha from October 20 to 22 for the 16th edition of Milipol Qatar 2026, showcasing the latest security technologies and solutions as Qatar marks three decades of hosting the Global Exhibition for Homeland Security and Safety.
Held under the gracious patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the exhibition will open tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), organised by the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The three-day event will feature seven national pavilions, an exhibition area spanning 23,000 square metres and an outdoor display of the MoI’s vehicle fleet. It will bring together senior security officials, industry experts and specialists to explore emerging technologies, strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise.
The details were announced at a press conference addressed by Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani and Director of the Milipol Network Karen Galstyan, in the presence of sponsors, supporting organisations and media representatives.
Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani confirmed that all preparations for the exhibition have been completed. He noted that this year’s edition will feature more than 270 local and international companies and seven international pavilions, covering an exhibition area of 23,000 square meters, in addition to an outdoor area dedicated to showcasing the Ministry of Interior’s vehicle fleet.
The exhibition will provide a platform to explore the latest security technologies and solutions, strengthen cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise.
He added that the exhibition will coincide with the Doha International Conference on AI and Security, which will bring together distinguished leaders and experts.
Major General Nasser confirmed that all preparations for the exhibition had been completed, highlighting its growth over the past 30 years from a small-scale event into an internationally recognised platform attracting companies from around the world.
“Milipol Qatar has been held for 30 years. It started on a small scale, but it has continued to develop in Qatar and has achieved a good standing internationally, with companies keen to participate,” he said.
“These developments give the exhibition its importance. Companies are always keen to participate, and, thankfully, participation increases with each edition compared with the previous one,” he said.
“The Ministry of Interior, through this exhibition, concludes important deals with these companies to develop its security system and those of the relevant entities,” Major General Nasser said.
He invited the public and interested visitors to attend the exhibition and explore the participating companies and the security technologies on display.
Director of the Milipol Network Karen Galstyan said that the event will cover key areas of homeland security and safety, with cybersecurity, access control, surveillance and civil defence among the leading sectors.
He highlighted the longstanding partnership between the Milipol Network and Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, which dates back to 1996, when Milipol Qatar became the first event in the Milipol series to be held outside France.
For the first time, the 16th edition will introduce the 30th Anniversary Awards to honour companies that have participated in the exhibition over the past three decades, recognising their loyalty and contributions to its continued development and success. Galstyan said the exhibition would welcome more than 270 exhibitors from 33 countries and feature seven national pavilions representing the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, North America, China, the Czech Republic and France. He said that the French pavilion will be the largest, with more than 20 companies participating.
Alongside the exhibition, he said, the Doha International Conference on AI and Security will bring together leaders and experts to discuss the strategic implications of artificial intelligence for security.
“The combination of a landmark exhibition, high-level strategic debates, and cutting-edge technologies make this a truly exceptional and unique event this year,” Galstyan said.
The exhibition and accompanying conference are expected to provide a platform for industry professionals and security specialists to examine technological developments and discuss the role of artificial intelligence in addressing evolving security challenges.
