Doha: Woqod has opened a new petrol station today at Hazm Al Markhiya. The station is spread over an area of 5,000 square meters and has 3 lanes with 9 dispensers that will serve Hazm Al Markhiya and its neighbourhood.
The new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, and include Sidra convenience store, manual carwash and sale of LPG cylinders.
Woqod's CEO, Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: We are pleased to open new fixed petrol station in Hazm Al Markhiya. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country."
Further, he added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 16 new petrol stations, most of these stations are expected to be operational in the year of 2019, noting that there are 6 stations in the bidding phase and 26 stations in the design phase.
With this new petrol station Woqod operates a network of 81 stations.
“Woqod is targeting to have 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020," Al Muhannadi said.
