Kerber continues to lead world rankings

Madrid: German Angelique Kerber (pictured above) continued to lead the Women's Tennis Association rankings released yesterday with 6,965 points while Estonia's Anett Kontaveit jumped 13 places after her first title victory at Den Bosch tournament yesterday.
The 21-year-old Anett Kontaveit from Tallinn routed Russia's Natalia Vikhlyantseva, 20, in straight sets in the grasscourt 's-Hertogenbosch tournament in the Netherlands to continue her strong 2017 form.
Kontaveit finished runner-up on clay in Biel in April and has also recorded wins over world number one Angelique Kerber and 2016 French Open champion Garbine Muguruza this season.
