Qatar win West Asian Women Handball Championship title

DOHA: Hosts Qatar were crowned champions of the Inaugural West Asian Women’s Handball Championship 2016, following their convincing 22-19 victory over Jordan in the final held at the Women Indoor stadium at Aspire  Zone in Doha on Monday.
Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Thani, Vice President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), and Dr Ahmed Abu-Alail, Executive Director of Asian Handball Federation (AHF), handed over the trophy to the winning Qatari team.
Ahlam Al Mane, Chairwoman of Qatar Women Sport Committee (QWSC), and Mohammed Jaber Al Mulla, the Secretary General of Qatar Handball Association (QHA), handed over the runner-ups trophy to Jordan team.
The event was organised by the Qatar Women Sport Committee (QWSC) in collaboration with the Qatar Handball Association (QHA) under the supervision of Asian Handball Federation.
