Vegetable markets did brisk business in April

The Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said that vegetable markets (agricultural yards) did brisk business in April, 2021

The markets operating in Al Mazrouha, Al Khor and Dhakira, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal and Al Sheehaniya, sold 2,101 tonnes of locally produced vegetables and 726 tonnes fruits in April.

A total of 394kg honey, 1,003 kg local dates and 1,123 kg of mushroom were also traded at the markets. The vegetable markets are functioning during the weekend from Friday to Saturday at night from 6:30pm to 10pm.
