The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara has organised a number of virtual competitions and events, on social media and the website, to celebrate Eid Al Aldha.
Katara surprised its visitors yesterday with a magnificent firework show that filled the sky with colours, much to the admiration of visitors. The fireworks were accompanied by music and lighting.
Katara also organised ‘Eid congratulations’ competition which will continue for three days. The participants have to write Eid congratulations under the post on Katara’s Instagram. Participation is accepted in both Arabic and English, and winners will be announced daily.
There is also a competition for the most beautiful Eid dress, dedicated to children under 13 years. It continues for three days. Every participant has to submit one photo. The photo or video should be of high quality. The last date for sending photos is midnight tomorrow. Sixteen winners will be selected for this competition.
Katara beach is also receiving visitors from 3pm to 10pm. Swimming is allowed until sunset. Katara offers a range of complimentary water games for children in addition to the already existing water games, and the floating café receives visitors throughout the days of Eid until 11 pm.
Tasty Street, the latest culinary destination at Katara, also hosts the most famous restaurants and cafes that offer the most delicious food to visitors in easy and distinctive ways.
Katara is keen to provide all these activities amid strict adherence to all the precautionary measures mentioned by the authorities concerned to limit the coronavirus spread.
