GAC officials donate blood.
Doha: The General Authority of Customs, in cooperation with the Blood Donation Centre of the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), recently organised a blood donation campaign at the GAC office.
The field visit provided service to Customs staff wishing to donate blood following precautionary measures and preventive procedures against COVID-19. The participation comes within the Authority’s initiatives to serve the community and its commitment to its social responsibility.
The GAC contributed to consolidating community participation in promoting the importance of blood donation to support the stock of blood units. It called on the community to donate blood because of the health benefits to the donor and helping others who need the blood.
The Customs Authority is keen to participate in the activation of many initiatives, events, and community events, enhance the spirit of initiative among its employees, and encourage them to volunteer and engage in such actions by hosting and sponsoring them.
