Doha: Oryx Group for Food Services, the franchise partner of Nando’s, the famous flame-grilled, PERi-PERi chicken restaurant and Ocean Basket, the popular seafood restaurant from South Africa organized a blood donation drive at their headquarter. Over 50 employees and a dozen passersby participated in this drive to donate blood.
Vice Chairman and MD of Oryx Group for Food Services, Sajed Sulaiman said, “We believe that our actions reflect on our people and the community that we live in. Generosity is at the core of our hearts. For us, being generous is not just about giving, but also about taking meaningful decisions that affect people around us positively.”
Spokesperson from the Human Resource Department of Oryx Group , Imane Abid, said, “We are committed to the community that we live in. As an organization, we live by our values of contributing to the local community as and when we can. We always encourage our team to participate actively in such initiatives - be it a meal donation drive, breast cancer awareness to blood donation this year. Looking at the successful turnout, enthusiasm of our team, and with the support of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), we pledge to continue and hold blood donation drive periodically while encouraging others to become regular blood donors.”
