DPS-MIS conducts orientation programme

DPS-Modern Indian School organised an orientation programme, on “Remodelled CBSE Assessment Structure”, for the parents of classe IX & X students on April 17.
Headmistress of secondary school, Mary Cruz, extended a warm welcome to the parents and elucidated on the vision, mission and objectives of the school.
The resource person Ashraf Sultana,CBSE Coordinator of IX-X classes, apprised the parents of the restructured examination pattern of CBSE applicable from 2017-18.
With the new scheme of examination,CBSE has replaced CCE and term system with single annual exam,covering the annual syllabus, for both Grades IX & X.
The exam will be conducted by CBSE for Grade X and Grade IX will have school based exam for 80 marks and other 20 marks are for internal assessment termed as periodic assessment, said school authorities. The students of classes IX & X will be graded for scholastic and co-scholastic activities on an eight and five point grading scale respectively.
The class teachers will assess the students for the newly introduced component namely discipline on the parameters of attendance, sincerity, be ha vi or and values.
