Doha, Qatar: The Torch Doha is illuminated with the Olympic Rings as Qatar marked the Olympic Day which is celebrated across the globe on June 23 of every year.
The Qatar Olympic Committee organised several events on the occasion. Based on the pillars of “Move, learn, discover – Together for a better world”, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) deploy sports, cultural and educational activities aimed at everybody – regardless of age, gender, social background or sporting ability to commemorate the day.
The first Olympic Day was celebrated on 23 June 1948.
