Doha: Barzan Holdings and AKKA Group recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) within a strategic partnership agreement to provide defence engineering services in Qatar.
According to the memorandum, the AKKA Group will harness its strong experience in supporting industrial actors worldwide across various sectors, especially in the field of defence, to support Barzan Holdings by training its engineers and assisting them in implementing local projects.
Barzan Holdings is committed to promoting national sovereignty, supporting the sustainable development of the defence and security sectors in the State of Qatar, through research and development, facilitating the transfer of knowledge, and creating innovative defence and security technologies, as it is a leading and fast-growing company for the defence industry in the State of Qatar.
Commenting on the agreement, the Vice President and Chief Strategic Procurement Officer at Barzan Holdings, Abdullah Hassan Al Khater, said that the company is pleased to establish a partnership with AKKA Group by signing this Memorandum of Understanding, as engineering services are a pivotal part of its strategic operations, and Barzan Holdings believe this agreement will be of great use to both parties in the future.
