Doha, Qatar: Mohammed Saeed Haidan was crowned the overall Diamond Tour champion as the ninth edition of the Longines Hathab Tour 2025-2026 came to a spectacular close at the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Indoor Arena yesterday.
The third and final day of the 14th round – the finale - featured thrilling contests in the Diamond Tour, Bronze Tour and Future Riders classes, drawing a sizeable crowd.
Haidan, riding Wathnan Stand By ME, secured second position in the final round of the Diamond Tour, clocking 66.26 seconds and finishing behind winner Khaled Aleid. The Saudi rider registered 66.87 seconds on Q Hayen to win the round. Riding Oliver Twist Vd Berghoeve, Italy’s Juan Carlos Garcia (62.98 seconds) came third in the final round.
The runner-up finish was enough to hand Haidan the overall title with a total of 261 points, with Aleid finishing second with 253.5 points. Hamad Nasser Al Qadi was third overall with 204 points.
In the Bronze Tour, Khalid A Hadi was declared the overall champion with a tally of 270 points from 14 rounds. Yesterday, he finished second riding Doremi du Flot Z in 48.25 seconds. Ahmad Jassim Al Suwaidi, astride Power Girl Jmg, topped the final round in 45.76 seconds, while Khalid Jassim Al Suwaidi was third on E.T’s Queeny Z in 48.65 seconds. Khalid Jassim secured the overall second position with 202 points ahead of third-placed Tamim bin Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani (194 points).
Following the final round of the Future Riders class (12 to 16 years), Fahad Talal Al Naimi claimed the overall trophy with a tally of 259 points. Ali Khalid Al-Obaidli secured second place with 254 points, while Sheikha Mohamed Al-Thani (243 points) finished third overall.
The final round of the class saw Shaikha Hamad Al Yafei emerge victorious on Violet Van Het Koetshuis in 16.89 seconds, followed by Alqaqaa bin Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who clocked 17.07 on Bon Suela. Alanoud Rashid Alhajri, on Beyonce, finished third with a time of 18.15.
Meanwhile, in the Gold Tour, Salman Mohammed Al Emadi (254 points), Saad Ahmed Al Sadd (230) and Faris Saad Al Qahtani (226) secured the top three overall positions. Wathnan team finished first in the category with 270 points.
In the Future Riders class (6 to 12 years), Hissa Ali Jaber won with a total of 245 points, followed by Alya Ahmad Al-Khater (234) and Mashael Mohammed Al-Thani (228).
The overall Silver Tour title went to Hussain Saeed Haidan, who accumulated 260 points across the season. Saeed Hamad Juma claimed the runner-up spot with 239 points, while Abdulaziz Fahad Aleid (235 points) finished third overall.
Mariam Abdulkarim Abed was crowned Amateur class champion after amassing 236 points, followed by Khalifa bin Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani (228) and Mohammed Abdulla Al Marri (213 points).
In the Dressage Level 1 competitions, rider Aisha Abdullah Al-Nuaimi emerged as the overall leader with 177 points, while Moza Hamza Al-Kuwari topped the Level 2 standings with 183 points.

“This year’s Longines Hathab Tour was exceptional in every respect, with a high level of competition and strong results by riders, reflected in their performances at international championships representing Qatar,” said Sheikh Ahmed.
“Participation in the Doha International Equestrian Tour 2026 and regular exposure to top-ranked international riders have played a key role in improving riders’ readiness and raising performance levels season after season.”
“Longines Hathab has become one of the region’s leading equestrian championships, with growing participation from Qatar and across the GCC, underlining its strong technical and organisational standing,” he added.
Meanwhile, QEF Assistant Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee Ali bin Yousef Al-Rumaihi said preparations for the new season are already under way as organisers seek to build on the tour’s growing success and regional standing.
“The championship has become a key pillar in developing equestrian sport in the region, with growing participation, stronger competition and increasing confidence in its technical and organisational standards,” said Al-Rumaihi.
“We aim to continue developing the championship by expanding participation, nurturing national talent, strengthening sports partnerships and reinforcing Qatar’s position as a leading destination for equestrian sport in the region,” he added.
