Doha: The Ministry of Municipality has announced that a prior permit will be required to import vegetables and fruits from December 1, 2021.
The announcement was made in an introductory meeting organised by the Ministry for suppliers of fruits and vegetables.
The introductory meeting was attended by Dr Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, Director of Food Security Department, Youssef Khaled Al Khulaifi, Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department, and a number of agricultural sector officials and suppliers of vegetables and fruits.
The Ministry announced that requests for a permit to import vegetables and fruits (for the month of December 2021) will be received from suppliers, during the period from November 1 to 20, 2021 to, via e-mail [email protected] related to receiving applications for a permit to import vegetables and fruits.
The application form F-AAD-PP-02 can be obtained from the website of the Ministry of Municipality and filled out the required data to determine the items and quantities to be imported during each month, which allows the state to inventory these goods in terms of quantities and control their quality.
