Doha, Qatar: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) office in Afghanistan, in partnership with Afghan Red Crescent Society and in coordination with local authorities and target communities, has commenced the implementation of the Warm Winter Campaign 2025–2026 projects.
The initiative aims to provide essential winter aid to more than 3,276 individuals from poor and disaster-affected families, with a total cost estimated at QR225,000.
The project seeks to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable households impacted by natural disasters amid the harsh and freezing winter conditions in the region.
As part of the campaign, winter relief packages were distributed to 468 families from the most disadvantaged groups in Batu District, Daikundi Province, one of the areas most affected by severe winter weather.
It is worth noting that QRCS has launched its annual seasonal relief campaign Warm Winter 2025–2026, aiming to provide heating and food supplies to more than 317,000 beneficiaries across 11 countries worldwide.
