Qatar jump to 57th spot in FIFA rankings

Asian champions Qatar jumped five places to 57th in the world and Belgium continued to lead, according to the latest FIFA rankings issued yesterday.

The Belgian team maintained the lead with 1,755 points, followed by world champions France (1,276 points), and Brazil in third place (1,715).

On the Asian continent, Iran remain at the top and 27th globally. Japan are second and 28 globally, followed by South Korea who came third and 39th in the world. Australia are ranked fourth and 44th in the overall rankings and Qatar are fifth in Asia and 57th globally after rising five places.
