Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health has announced the precautionary suspension of licences for three healthcare practitioners working at two private-sector healthcare centres for violating the laws governing work in the national health sector.
Legal measures are being taken against both healthcare centres and the non-compliant practitioners.
This action is part of the Ministry’s ongoing oversight efforts and regular inspection visits, carried out by the Department of Healthcare Professions, to ensure that health facilities and practitioners comply with the laws and regulations governing the health sector in the State.
In a statement, the Ministry stressed on the importance of the supervisory and regulatory role of medical directors in healthcare facilities to ensure that medical and technical staff practise healthcare professions strictly within the scope of their authorised licences, thereby supporting patient safety and assuring the quality of the health services provided.
