Doha: Professor Mariam Al Maadeed, Vice-President for Research & Graduate Studies at Qatar University (QU), said that the 3rd International Conference for Media and Communication is very important for students and research scholars.
“Such conferences played key role in training students and research scholars on journalism and to educate them about the importance of scientific researches and relations between the universities and different State institutions,” said Al Maadeed while speaking to The Peninsula on the sidelines of the conference. A two day conference is being held at Qatar University.
She said that holding third edition of International Conference for Media and Communication indicates the ability of Qatar University for holding such events successfully and making partnerships with great organisations like Al Jazeera Media Institute.
“Selecting such important subject ‘The Ethics of Media Practice and the Falsification of Consciousness in a Turbulent World’ which is the theme of the conference, also indicates that the research scholars of Qatar University are able to solve the community problems in a great way,” said Al Maadeed.
