Paris: French club Paris Saint-Germain has rejected an offer from Real Madrid to include their young international striker, Kylian Mbappe, the first football team's top scorer, describing the offer as "inappropriate".
The sporting director of PSG, Brazilian, Leonardo, stated that Mbappe would like to leave the ranks of Saint-Germain, but the French team will not agree to the player's departure except on their terms.
Leonardo said, in press statements today, that PSG's position is always to keep Mbappe in the team, and to renew his contract for two years, and this goal was and remains the same until now.
He added that Real Madrid's offer of 160 million euros to sign the player is not enough, especially since it is less than what we paid for him. It was 180 million in addition to bonuses.
He stressed that PSG did everything so that Mbappe would continue with the team, and that the Parisian club would not change their project, noting that Mbappe is the center of the project, but he is not above it, and if he stays or leaves, he will always be in accordance with the club's conditions if he wants to leave, like any other player.
The 22-year-old's contract with the Paris club expires in the summer of 2022, and the player wants to move to Real Madrid, despite his club's contract with a number of stars, most notably Argentinean Lionel Messi and Spaniard Sergio Ramos.
