Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) will participate in an international exhibition for inventions in the Middle-East, hosted by Kuwait.
Qatar will be represented by 11 inventions. The Qatar Scientific Club’s participation will be through several inventions. The most notable are Sheikh Ali bin Salman bin Jabor Al-Thani’s Smart Life Jacket. The jacket is equipped with GPS that can help locate the user in case he got lost at sea. The jacket would then send a message through GSM system it has to pinpointing its location.
Ali Hassan Al Rashid invented a mobile security robot. The device can identify wanted criminals through facial recognition.
It also uses ultraviolet rays to detect forged money and documents. Another use of the device is detecting the presence of explosive devices.
There is also Samam, invented by Saleh Said Safran. It is a safety system that can detect LNG and CPG leakages. The device can notify of any leakages and enable control of the LPG connection source. It does that by interacting with the user through a mobile app.
The exhibition provides inventors with the opportunity to showcase their work. It is the biggest of its kind in the region, and second in the world after the exhibition in Geneva.
