Doha: Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, recently visited the Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) to see the latest developments and equipment at the club.
The Minister was briefed about the Oasis of Manufacturers and Innovators and the Engineering Design Corner, in addition to digital workshops and laboratories, the first library of materials to be established in the Scientific Club, and all electronic devices that the Club provides for innovators. The Oasis of Manufacturers and Innovators is a smart factory that helps creative and innovative youth generate ideas and implement projects.
It is considered an advanced technological platform in the region that has been created and developed starting from 2020 by the Qatari Scientific Club, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
It was established with the aim of keeping pace with technological development that depends on the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in using modern digital technology.
The strategy of the Oasis is based on promoting a culture of innovative entrepreneurship, and provides an effective work environment that encourages innovators and entrepreneurs to continue developing their project models until the production stage.
It also contributes to training and exchange of experiences between interested and specialists and provides spaces organised according to technical specialisations.
