Ambassador of Qatar to the United Kingdom H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani and other officials with Qatari graduates during the honouring ceremony.
Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Attaché of the State of Qatar in the United Kingdom celebrated the graduation of 150 male and female students from British universities.
The graduates were scholarship recipients sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and other entities, as well as self-funded students. Among them were 30 graduates who achieved distinction in various fields of study.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to the United Kingdom H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Cultural Attaché Fahad bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, and Director of the Scholarships Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Nora Al Ansari. The graduates were honored in recognition of their academic excellence and achievements, contributing to strengthening the Qatari labor market with qualified national talent.
In his remarks at the ceremony, the Ambassador said graduation does not mark the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a new stage that requires greater responsibility and contribution. He urged graduates to use the knowledge and experience they had gained to serve their country, maintain and strengthen the professional and personal networks they had built during their years of study, and contribute to Qatar’s ongoing development.
For his part, Fahad Al Kuwari said Qatari students are studying at some of the leading universities in the UK. He noted that this year’s graduates completed their studies at around 40 universities in specialized fields aligned with labor market needs and national development requirements.
He emphasized the Cultural Attaché’s commitment to monitoring students’ academic journeys and providing training and qualification programmes that help enhance their readiness to transition into professional life.
Nora Al Ansari, meanwhile, called on graduates to complete the procedures required to conclude their scholarships in preparation for joining their workplaces. She stressed the importance of continuing academic excellence and making an active contribution to the country’s national development efforts.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of outstanding graduates and the presentation of certificates of appreciation. The graduates affirmed their commitment to applying their knowledge and expertise in service of their country and contributing to the development of vital sectors, including cybersecurity, engineering, energy, healthcare, law and scientific research.
The 2026 graduation ceremony in the United Kingdom reflects Qatar’s commitment to investing in people as the cornerstone of development. It also underscores the country’s belief that qualified national talent is a key pillar in achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision, by preparing generations capable of competing globally and using their knowledge and expertise to serve their country and support its sustainable development.
