Doha, Qatar: Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Minister of Municipality H E Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah inaugurated the 4th Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 yesterday.

The event which will run until October 29 brought together policymakers, investors, developers and industry leaders to explore emerging opportunities and the forces shaping the future of Qatar’s real estate market. The forum is organised in partnership between the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) and Informa Tharawat.

The opening ceremony was attended by Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Minister of Finance H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Culture H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Arab Republic of Egypt H E Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh.

This year’s forum is held under the theme ‘Stability as an Asset Class’, as part of a programme discussing a wide range of issues related to the future of the real estate sector in Qatar and the region, from investment, development and financing to technology and sustainability, and extending to quality of life, urban planning and the future of cities. The event features more than 70 speakers and 60 exhibitors.

Addressing the forum, President of Aqarat H E Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki said, the forum comes at an important stage in the development of Qatar’s real estate sector, noting that work is continuing to enhance a real estate environment based on confidence and transparency, offering investors and developers sustainable opportunities within a market underpinned by strong regulatory and economic foundations.

The forum represents a platform bringing together government entities, investors, developers, experts and industry leaders to discuss the changes shaping the future of real estate, showcase investment opportunities, exchange expertise and build partnerships that support the sector’s growth and development.

He emphasised that holding the forum alongside Cityscape Qatar helps broaden participation and strengthen communication among the various stakeholders across the real estate ecosystem at both the local and international levels.

Commenting on the fourth Qatar Real Estate Forum, Director of Real Estate Investment at Aqarat Mohammed Makki said, “This year’s forum programme is designed to address the key questions investors ask before making investment decisions. The first day focused on market stability and regulatory frameworks, while the second day will explore investment and financing instruments, ranging from real estate investment trusts (REITs) to real estate tokenisation. The third day will examine quality of life and the future of cities. Our aim is to ensure that Qatar’s real estate market provides investors with a stable environment and clear regulatory frameworks they can rely on.”

The forum will address key topics, including investment portfolio diversification; investment opportunities in residential, commercial and mixed-use real estate; real estate financing and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs); digital asset tokenisation; and property valuation and market data. It will also examine the role of private capital in supporting economic diversification, ways to strengthen investor confidence, sustainability and governance standards, and the use of artificial intelligence in urban development.

The programme will also highlight quality of life, infrastructure and long-term urban planning, as well as the role of real estate development in enhancing Qatar’s appeal as a destination to live, work and invest.

Qatar’s real estate sector will take centre stage at the forum’s innovation platform, where developers, investors, architects, brokers, financial experts, technology leaders and industry specialists will assemble to explore the ideas, investments and innovations poised to chart the market’s future.

The platform will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise across the sector through panel discussions, case studies, specialised sessions and live demonstrations. These activities will bring practical market insights, projects and emerging opportunities into sharper focus, helping participants navigate a substantially evolving real estate landscape.
