Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality announced on Sunday that more than 128 million gallons of rainwater were transported and drained between March 25 and 28, 2026, following heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across the country.
In a post on X, the Ministry said the Joint Rain Emergency Committee responded rapidly to water accumulation across various areas, handling all reports efficiently and within record time.
According to the Ministry, a total of 808 workers operated continuously over 68 working hours during the period.
More than 30,416 tanker loads were handled using 479 machines and equipment.
The Unified Contact Center received 2,755 reports of rainwater accumulation, all of which were addressed as part of emergency response operations.
The Ministry said these efforts form part of ongoing measures to ensure road safety, maintain smooth traffic flow, and safeguard residents and infrastructure during adverse weather conditions.
