Doha, Qatar: The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 will mark a pivotal moment in international youth football. It will be the first of five consecutive editions that Qatar is hosting through 2029.
Here are some key facts about the tournament, which is set to take place November 3-27, at the state-of-the-art Competition Complex at Aspire Zone.
First 48-team FIFA World Cup
The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 represents a significant expansion from the traditional format, with 104 matches spanning 25 days, bringing together young talent from around the world to compete for football’s most prestigious youth championship. Teams are organised into 12 groups of four teams each.
Unique ticketing concept
Fans can purchase tickets at: www.roadtoqatar.qa. Tickets are available as a Day Pass, priced at QR20, which will enable fans to attend multiple matches a day. A maximum of 6 tickets per person can be purchased for each match day. Fans can also purchase a Prime Pass, which will enable them to reserve seats for high demand matches.
Supporters of the Qatar national team can avail the Follow My Team ticket, which will enable them to attend all matches of the Qatari U-17 team during the group stage. Final match tickets are available across two categories, commencing from QR15.
All tickets will be digital and will include wheelchair accessible seating options for disabled fans. Disabled fans can request accessible seats by sending an e-mail to: [email protected]. Disabled fans can avail a number of accessibility services including audio descriptive commentary for select matches, as well as sensory rooms in the Fan Zone.
Attendees can view, manage and seamlessly transfer tickets on the Road to Qatar app, available on iOS and Android. All attendees must download the Road to Qatar app to gain entry to the Competition Complex at Aspire Zone and Khalifa International Stadium, which is hosting the Final.
Debutants on global stage
The FIFA U-17 World Cup brings together the world’s most promising young football talent representing all six FIFA Federations. This year, five teams will be making their FIFA U-17 World Cup debut. These are Fiji, Republic of Ireland, Zambia, El Salvador and Uganda.
Compact tournament experience
The tournament will be played across eight pitches the Aspire Zone Competition Complex, with the Final taking place at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 venue, Khalifa International Stadium on 27 November. This approach facilitates seamless spectator movement between matches and creates a festival-like atmosphere throughout the tournament.
Ease of access
Aspire Zone is within close proximity to the Sport City Doha Metro stationon the Gold Line, providing efficient spectator access while reducing congestion and reliance on personal vehicles. Dedicated parking is available for fans wishing to use private transportation, including accessible parking. Ride-sharing and taxi pick-up points are also available throughout the venue.

Community involvement
A total of 500 Qatar-based volunteers will support the tournament across various functional areas, including wayfinding, logistics, on-site services and more, ensuring a world-class experience for fans and players alike.
Festive atmosphere for fans of all ages
The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 Fan Zone will celebrate the global diversity of all 48 participating nations through immersive cultural activations and community collaborations.
The comprehensive programming will feature live match screenings and a Football Arena hosting a community tournament that mirrors the U-17 competition.
Live stage performances will showcase cultural acts, talented youth and musical performances. Other attractions include a live trophy display, an E-Gaming Zone, a Food &Beverage Zone with diverse culinary options.
