Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest levels of air traffic safety, highlighting continuous efforts and advanced measures undertaken across its departments to ensure the aviation system’s readiness amid ongoing circumstances.
In a statement, QCAA confirmed that operations are being managed around the clock, with a focus on safeguarding air navigation and ensuring the uninterrupted continuity of essential aviation services.
All flights to and from Doha are currently operating through dedicated corridors established in close coordination with relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways announced a revised flight schedule reflecting a gradual increase in services.
The latest update, valid until April 15, 2026, includes additional frequencies to more than 90 destinations across its global network, spanning all continents.
The airline noted that while select flights are being introduced under temporary authorisation, these do not signal a full resumption of normal commercial operations.
Services continue to be subject to regulatory approvals, with operations expected to fully resume once QCAA confirms the safe reopening of the national airspace.
The national carrier also acknowledged the impact of the disruption on passengers, stating that it is working to support those affected and facilitate reunions with family members.
Customers holding confirmed bookings for travel between February 28 and April 30, 2026, are eligible for refunds or date changes.
However, the airline cautioned that refund processing times may be longer than usual due to high demand.
Earlier, Hamad International Airport advised passengers not to proceed to the airport without a valid confirmed ticket, noting that access to terminals may be restricted.
Travellers with confirmed bookings have been urged to arrive no earlier than four hours prior to departure.
Authorities emphasised that safety remains the top priority, with all measures aimed at ensuring a secure and orderly return to normal operations while maintaining essential connectivity during the current period.
