Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Interior released a video guide explaining how employers can approve and update expatriate data and employment contracts through the Metrash application before workers arrive in Qatar.
The service also enables users to pay Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) fees abroad and book medical examination appointments, eliminating the need to visit the General Directorate of Passports or Unified Services Centres.
The ministry outlined the following steps to complete the process through the Metrash app:
Select Visa, then QVC.
Choose Add or Edit QVC Contract Details.
Select the employee's visa to add or update the employment contract.
Enter the employee's information, including:
Educational qualification.
Contract duration (in years).
Probation period (in months).
Air ticket entitlement period (in years).
Basic salary (minimum QR1,460).
Select Sign QVC Contract and tap Continue.
Choose Pay QVC Fees and select the employee's visa.
After completing the payment, select Book QVC Appointment.
The ministry said users will then be redirected to the Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) website to schedule the required medical examination appointment before the employee travels to Qatar.
