Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions at the Ministry of Interior received a delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise.
The delegation was received by Major General Nasser Mohammed Essa Al Sayed, Director of the General Directorate, along with a number of officers.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Directorate’s key programmes and initiatives and toured several departments and units to learn about the operational mechanisms, procedures, and services provided to inmates.
The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange expertise, review best practices, and discuss the implementation of modern correctional philosophy.
