Students affected by COVID-19 to appear in second round exams

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that the students who are unable to appear in the secondary school examinations of second semester for the academic year 2019-20  because of COVID-19 will take examinations in the second round.

Grade 12 students in day schools and adult schools and students from grade 1 to 11 for adult schools will take examinations from June 1, 2020. 

The absence of the students infected with coronavirus and those in quarantine from secondary school examinations is acceptable for genuine reason, the Ministry has tweeted.

These students will appear in second round of examinations (second semester curriculum) on August 28, 2020.

The absent students will have to produce health certificate showing date of infection with COVID-19 or date of being quarantined.

The secondary school examinations will begin from June 1, 2020 following the state preventive and precautionary measures.
