Doha, Qatar: Students who completed the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ 2026 summer training programme have praised the initiative for providing a supportive learning environment and valuable practical experience that enhanced their professional skills and prepared them for the job market.
The month-long programme, titled “Awqaf Professional Generation”, brought together 70 Qatari male and female students from secondary schools and universities.
Conducted throughout July, the initiative formed part of the ministry’s efforts to make productive use of the summer break by developing the capabilities of young Qataris through practical training in a real institutional environment.
Supervised by the Training and Administrative Development Section of the Human Resources Department, the programme aligns with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 by investing in human capital, preparing qualified national talent, and promoting the values of responsibility, discipline, and institutional excellence.
At the conclusion of the programme, several participants expressed their appreciation to the ministry for offering them the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in government work. They commended the cooperation and support they received from staff across various departments, noting that the guidance of supervisors and employees enabled them to acquire practical administrative skills and deepen their understanding of institutional operations.
Hamad bin Dajran Al Marri, a Grade 11 student who trained in the Mosques Department, highlighted the collaborative environment within the Imams and Preachers Guidance Section. He thanked the ministry for efficiently meeting trainees’ needs and providing all necessary training resources.
Mohammed Saeed Al Marri, a Grade 12 student who also trained in the Imams and Preachers Guidance Section, said the programme introduced participants to modern workplace practices, particularly the use of artificial intelligence applications in routine administrative tasks.
Trainees Mohammed Jabr and Ahmed Ibrahim Al Emadi described the programme as an effective bridge between classroom learning and the realities of the workplace. They said the interactive training environment encouraged initiative, teamwork, effective communication, and discipline.
